The new Southern Accents showhouse is underway in Riverhills Texas. Although I won’t be able to trek over there from Washington DC anytime soon, thankfully, I can look through the English influenced rooms of this quintenensential Cotswald-style home. Inspired by the limestone cottages built throughout the Cotswold Hills in England, architect Larry Boerder designed the showhouse to look as though it had been amassed over time.

The original 1.5 story cottage was added on to for this impressive new home.

The craftsmanship details include leather covered beams and rafia surfaces.

I love the Jane Shelton animal print upholstery on the bolstered bench.

Remarkable Arts & Crafts period hardware is beautiful and well thought out.

An English mirror above the mantel echoes the round table and candleabra.

Exterior window trim serves a purpose to lead water away from the window.

Two silver Louis Philippe–style mirrors above the French 1930's black lacquer tables look like additional windows.

Soothing colors match each other from the painting, to the rug, and onto the antique Sultanabad bed cover.

A banded diamond pattern adds interest to the marble flooring in the master bath..

Striped fabric on the walls and slanted ceiling creates a tentlike feel in the boy’s room.

The walls are stenciled with animal hide like stripes in a custom mixture of Brilliant White and Loft by Ralph Lauren Paint.
